Kal and Kabile Concerts, Promotions Team, October/November 2008. Created the flyers for the events, edited the press releases and was on the planning of the two events. Kal is a Rom (Gypsy) band from Serbia and Kabile is a traditional Bulgarian wedding band.

Teaching a newcomer’s International Folk Dance class at the Plaza Arts Center: 2007.

International Association of Business Communicators, Video Editor, 2007, volunteered to complete a video project for a membership drive.

My Guardian Angel, Webmaster: 2002, updated their website which was two years behind. Also created the website and screensaver for Gary Cogill’s “Kids’ Big Movie Event.”

Texas Camp, Facilities Manager: 1996-1999, 2003-4, plan, manage and organize volunteers for a 4-day event with 250+ attendees and a $55,000 budget. Assistant Sound Tech, 2007, helped with audio set up for various bands and vocalist, ensured proper audio playback of all recorded music, provided wireless microphones for instructors and hardwired microphones for speakers. Kitchen volunteer, 1995, 2001-2, 2007, completed various tasks required by head and assistant chef to complete meals for about 250 people.

Texas International Folk Dancers, Board of Trustees: 1997 to 2002. Member of Sales Board: 1997 – 2003, responsible for helping man booths at regional events to boost memberships and sales.

Dallas International Folk Dancers, Webmaster: 2001 – 2003, 2007-8, Teaching Chair: 1996 – 1997, President: 1997 – 1998, Teaching Chair: 2007. 

Texas Turkish Folk Dancers, 2003-2005, performed extensively throughout the DFW metroplex.

South Texas Polish Folk Dancers, 2005-6, performed at several events including the Texas State Fair.

Dallas Chapter VASA, Newsletter Editor and Board Member for Viking Fest (Georgetown, TX): 1997, created a monthly 4-page newsletter and maintained a membership mailing list also worked on the publicity for the Viking Festival event.

North Texas Traditional Dance Society, Publicity Committee, Spring Workshop, 1996, organized publicity campaign for a 3-day workshop in the Dallas area. Created press releases, and organized volunteers. Public service announcements appeared in The Dallas Morning News, Dallas Monthly magazine and WRR radio. The event had the largest attendance ever.
